Hand woven of 100% New Zealand wool, these beautiful authentic Flokati shag rugs are washed to produce a unique fluffy softness that is unmatched in any other rug. The Standard edition features 1400 grams of wool per square meter. The Premium edition offers great density and thickness by using 2000 grams of wool per square meter.
Flokati Rugs are hand-woven, sewn, and then subjected to tremendous water pressure from the friction baths connected to the famous Pindos Mountains waterfalls. This extreme washing is done to make the backing swell and for the pile itself to unravel and become fluffier. After a thorough sun-drying, each Flokati rug is carefully inspected to ensure that only rugs that meet the highest quality standards make it to the market.
