Phillipians 2:5. Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus:[Let Him be your example in humility:] Phillipians 2:6. Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, Phillipans 2:7. But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. Phillipians 2:8. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself (still further) and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Phillipians 2:9. Therefore [because he stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name. Phillipians 2:10. That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Phillipians 2:11. And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amplified Bible. (Back to message) Collosians 1:15. [Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the firstborn of all creation, Collosians 1:16. For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. Collosians 1:17. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). Collosians 1:18. He also is Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. Collosians 1:19. For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently. Collosians 1:20. And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross. Amplified Bible. (Back to message) Luke 4:16. So He came to Nazereth, [that Nazereth] where He had been brought up, and He entered the synagogue, as was his custom on the Sabbath day. And He stood up to read. Luke 4:17. And there was handed to Him [the roll of] the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened (unrolled) the book and found the place where it was written, Luke 4:18. The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the anointed one, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release of the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], Luke 4:19. To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound. Luke 4:20. Then He rolled up the book and gave it back to the attendent and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing [attentively] at Him. Luke 4:21. And He began to speak to them; Today this Scripture has been fulfilled while you are present and hearing. Amplified Bible. (Back to message) 1 Peter 2:24. He personnally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His Own Blood, Revelation 1:6. And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and Father- to Him be the glory and the power and the magesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it). Revelation 1:7. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him.
